Recognized for his expertise in planning, developing and implementing effective environmental and sustainability strategies/projects, he has worked at senior level for government, multilateral- and intergovernmental organization and global alliances around the world. He also coordinated several global networks and strategically raised the brand, profile and engagement of respected international organizations.

François has an outstanding track record in networking and negotiating, having worked with both bilateral and multilateral donor agencies, UN organizations, business groups, intergovernmental organizations, civil society and governments in Africa, Asia, the Arab States, Latin- and South America, the Caribbean, the United States and Europe. Innovative, business-minded and an inspirational communicator, he has written several publications, including strategies for national/regional governments, a 2012 review of World Bank Climate Investment Funds, and a gender policy for UNCCD, amongst others.

François is an accredited member of both the Acre Bench and the IUCN Commission on Education and Communication (CEC).
